⟪00000001⟫ → [BEGIN HERE]
For over two decades, Ilaria Forte has walked liminal spaces and worked at the edges, where disciplines dissolve and new worlds take root, where philosophy meets activism, where systems collapse and new myths begin.
Described by collaborators as a “High Priestess of Disruption,” she wears the title lightly, holding it as both mirror and metaphor.
She approaches her work as both provocation and devotion: dismantling inherited extractive paradigms, composting the ruins and brittle legacies of the “-isms” —Cartesian rationality, capitalist growth, and colonial logics — that have shaped a world too often severed from kinship, mystery, and mutual becoming.
Her transdisciplinary journey spans multiple fields and dimensions, from eco-social innovation to ethical AI, from speculative design to post-capitalist imaginaries, guided by reverence for complexity, a poet’s wild spirit, and the ethics of coevolution. At the heart of her practice lies a commitment to relational intelligence, planetary ethics, and the entangled evolution of human and more-than-human worlds.
Ilaria’s work extends across Fortune 500, FTSE 100, and DAX 40 companies, as well as cutting-edge startups and purpose-driven organizations. With thousands of pages of in-depth foresight research and cultural intelligence and more than 500 innovation sessions and workshops delivered across 20+ countries, she has guided executives, visionaries, and changemakers in cultivating the conditions for systemic transformation and regenerative, tech-conscious, life-centered futures to flourish.
Her collaborations transcend industries and cultures, bringing together bold minds and courageous leaders in service of enduring impact. She has had the privilege of working with remarkable partners, including:
Netflix, The Walt Disney Company, Disney Publishing, Deutsche Bank, Commerzbank, TD Bank, Condé Nast Digital, Vogue, Glamour, BMW, Vodafone, Nokia, SK Telekom, Henkel, Unilever, Ferrero Group, Danone, Pernod Ricard, Mondadori Digital, MTV Network, Viacom, TK Maxx, TJK Europe, Radeberger, Butterfly London, Accenture Song, Fiftyfive5, Ipsos Group, Squadrati, Braun, BSH, iXDS, ProSieben, Kabel1, IBM, Axel Springer, Telecom Italia Media, Alviero Martini, Sissi Rossi, Greenkern, Audaces Foundation, Ecoverde, The Social Innovation Foundation, Pro Natura International, The Rabbit Hole, Healthcare Shapers, Treeyo Permaculture, Be Courageous Innovation, Buckminster Fuller Institute, Design Science Studio, Capra Course, Zen Peacemakers, Checkdomain, Idearockers, Breathe Meditation App, Yoolabs, Slow Medizin, Paragraph 1, Craft., Public Link — to name just a few ;).
BIOGRAPHY.
Born in a small village nestled at the foot of the Italian Alps, Ilaria grew up immersed in the mythic rhythms of the natural world and the fierce sacrality of mountains. Her thirst for truth, restless creativity, and boundless curiosity ignited adventures beginning at fourteen, journeys that would carry her across continents, into diverse cultures, and into the heart of living inquiry. Over the decades, she has inhabited several countries, crossed physical and imaginary bordes, dedicating herself to research, creation and experimentation: with ideas, systems, identities, practices, and futures. Weaving together semiotics, foresight, advanced systems thinking, and cultural intelligence in a way both analytical and intuitive, she questions dominant narratives and dismantles obsolete paradigms to create space for emergent, regenerative alternatives. As a futurist, systems philosopher, and strategic advisor, Ilaria develops non-reductionist models that transcend fragmented knowledge, working at the interface of human-machine coevolution, ecological transformation, and cultural renewal. Her inquiries explore how meaning emerges at the intersections of biological, cognitive, cultural, and technological realms, drawing on cybernetics, biosemiotics, posthumanism, and embodied philosophy to reconceptualize living systems as inherently interwoven and relational. Deeply committed to decolonizing language, bodies, and epistemologies, she works to compost inherited structures while cultivating futures rooted in justice, reciprocity, and planetary kinship.
Ilaria holds an MSc in Public Relations, Communication, and Consumer Studies from IULM University in Milan and an MA in Buddhist Studies from the University of South Wales. Through integrating non-dual Eastern philosophies with Western science, she found her path to systems thinking and immersion in contemplative practices. She is a committed member of the Zen Peacemaker Order (ZPO), a global community dedicated to not-knowing, bearing witness, and taking action. Fluent in four languages with a global presence across Europe, North America, and Asia, Ilaria brings a radically pluralistic perspective to her research, consulting, and speaking. She delivers thought-provoking keynotes blending intellectual rigor with visionary storytelling, gracefully inviting audiences into the urgent work of transformation. Her gift lies in translating complex concepts into accessible narratives, relevant and actionable for diverse audiences.
After years of nomadic exploration and a two-year retreat in a remote alpine village, she now lives with her family in the German Northern Woods, where she continues to write, study, and design futures in which all life can thrive.

“No/thing exists in isolation. We are coevolving social meaning-making animals, interconnected heart-minds of this whole living and breathing super organism. Nurturing connections is sustaining life. All living systems are loving systems. Thus in communities through meaningful interactions, we thrive. We are here to awaken together as one, living and breathing body.
